OUR CALENDARS

We strive for a complete listing of local arts, entertainment and music events, but we cannot guarantee the inclusion of every event.

In general, we do not list events that cost more than $30 in our free calendars. For more expensive events, please contact our advertising and/or classifieds departments at 919-286-1972.

We do not list classes of any kind.

Most events will run in both our online and print calendars; our print calendars usually list one week's worth of events.

If you need assistance, email calendar@indyweek.com. If you are contacting us after posting an event here, please use the submitted Event Title as the Subject line of your email.

ARTS, MUSIC, FOOD, ACTIVISM, FILM

Our deadline is Wednesday by 5 p.m. for publication in the following Wednesday's issue.

Please include the date, time, street address, cost, contact info (phone, email and/or website), and a two-sentence description of the event. For art exhibits and theater shows, provide opening and closing dates. Some fields below are required.

Click for examples of each calendar:

• Our music calendar lists shows and concerts at clubs and amphitheaters.

• Our food calendar (in print, Now Serving) lets readers know about food- and drink-related events, new restaurants and farmers markets.

• Our activism calendar (in print, Act Now) promotes political and social action events by groups dedicated to the public interest.

• We receive the majority of our film times from CinemaSource, a division of West World Media. To have your theater included, contact them via phone at 203-438-8389, fax at 203-438-0043, or email at info@westworldmedia.com.

• Our arts calendar covers everything else.

PLEASE NOTE Event descriptions will be edited to fit our style.
